IUCAA invites applications from highly motivated researchers for its Post-Doctoral Programme.

• Since this is a mid-year advertisement, we expect the incumbent to join IUCAA on or after January 1, 2027.


• Instructions:
  • Please ensure that you have all necessary documents & files ready with you before you start filling in the application.
  • Please restrict the size of the files to be uploaded at # 12 & 13 to 2MB per file. You are NOT required to upload scanned copies of your mark-sheets or degree certificates.
  • Upon successful submission of your online application, an automated acknowledgement will be sent to your email address. Emails will also be sent to the referees you mentioned, requesting that they submit a confidential online assessment report about you. For this purpose, they will be provided with a separate interface on our website as well as a login and password. We suggest that you keep checking with your referees periodically to find if they have uploaded their reports.
  • Once the referees have uploaded their confidential report, an email acknowledgement will be sent to them with a copy to you.
  • For the current cycle, the last date for receipt of applications is July 05, 2026 [Extended]. Please avoid last minute rush and submit your online application well before the last date.
  • The last date for submitting referees reports is July 07, 2026. Please ensure that your referees get adequate time to submit their confidential assessment reports.
  • Selected candidates will be informed before the end of August 2026.
  • Successful candidates are normally expected to commence their fellowship during January 2027.
  • Candidates applying for a project position are to include a brief statement outlining their suitability for the specific project(s) for which they are applying.
